Agile Construction
I got my Agile training at IBM back when I was a programmer, and find that the same principles apply to construction projects. Agile is an integrated system of principles and methods with a focus on incremental project execution, continuous delivery, and high stakeholder involvement. The goal is to reduce risk, complexity, wasted work, and scope-creep, while maintaining an indefinitely sustainable pace of development. In practice this appears as detailed descriptions and drawings before work starts, breaking large projects into more manageable phases, proof of concept testing, and continuous re-assessment. Changes are not only accepted but actively embraced throughout the development process, even late in the project, as it allows for continuous adaptation and improvement to meet evolving needs.

I repurpose materials where applicable and I prefer mechanical to chemical means of attachment. When developing solutions, I don’t just think about time+quality+cost of construction, but accessibility and ease of disassembly for ongoing maintenance.
